Background
Palliative Care is a rapidly evolving subject area that overlaps with many other health related subjects. Currently, there are many national, regional and local directives to improve end-of-life care for a wide range of clients.
Education is often highlighted as a key part in doing this, yet there is little available for those involved in the teaching of this subject area. In addition, many palliative care courses are linked to Higher Education establishments through partnerships rather than direct involvement so may not be able to access the resources available to HE staff.

Workshop aims
This workshop aims to consider some of the key topics that are found to be challenging by those involved in palliative care education as well as providing a networking event for educationalists working in a similar subject area.

Intended Learning Outcomes
As well as having the opportunity to share best practice, participants will be able to identify effective ways of evaluating palliative care education.

Workshop Facilitator:  Lynne Partington
